By Martine Fougeron

Tete-a-Tete is a series of intimate portraits of the artist's two adolescent sons and their friends, begun in the fall of 2005. This work explores adolescence as a liminal state, between childhood and adulthood, and between the feminine and the masculine. Published in conjunction with a solo exhibition at Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art in New York from February 28 to April 12, 2008. With an essay by Lyle Rexer. Signed and numbered.
