Writing as Practice: Peripheral Continuity is an edited collection of transcripts and visual art from a symposium held at the International Center of Photography on December 17, 2011. Writing as Practice brings together a group of writers, visual artists and curators investigating the role of the written word in their artistic practices.

Participants include Moyra Davey, Pradeep Dalal, David Deitcher, Andrea Geyer, Zoe Leonard, Carlos Motta, Lynne Tillman, Anne Turyn and Ethan Swan.
