Photojournalism in the Classical Tradition

Course Description

Taught by a photojournalist with a long history of covering stories in a deeply human and meaningful way, this weekend workshop is for students who would like guidance on their photographic projects or story ideas. Students will be asked to come to the first class with a story on which they are working. Through critiques, class discussions, and lectures students will consider the individual image and the combination of images needed to create a powerful story that fulfills the fundamental requirements of integrity and honesty, taking into account the needs of the people who are photographed. PREREQUISITE: Photo III or portfolio review
